Born and raised in Berlin, Germany and the daughter of avid world travelers, I spent a large portion of my childhood exploring the cultures and lifestyles of the world. Often spending a lot of time in rural areas away from mainstream tourism, I fell in love with experiencing the every day life of people from all walks of life. Watching my mother, a physician, and my father, an engineer, aiding those in need of medical care and general resources, I quickly followed in their footsteps growing my passion to help others. I was fascinated listening to peoples life stories and soon discovered my strengths in providing compassion, comfort and motivation. Like many little girls I fell in love with horses the first time I got to be around them and the more I learned about them the deeper my connection to them grew. I worked hard as a stable hand, groom and exercise rider to earn riding privileges and lesson time. I fell in love with the art of dressage and spent as much time learning about it as I could. Most of my childhood equestrian adventures entailed me sneaking around to the barn behind my parents back, since my father was not fond of this type of career path. He wanted to prevent me from getting pulled into it too deeply so naturally I was determined to rebel. In 2003 I spent an exchange student year here in the US and decided the following year, to leave Germany and my entire family and friend circle behind, to start my adult life's journey on my own at only 18. Grateful for my upbringing's diverse experiences and all my equestrian education, I worked my way through the last two decades as a trainer and coach to a diverse equestrian clientele. I continued my own education spending as much time with trainers from all over the world. Through many hardships and challenges I was often faced with depression and anxiety trying to put one foot in front of the other and pushing myself to become a stronger version of myself. Achieving success professionally in the horse industry is a hard journey and I am grateful to the unconditional love and support these amazing animals have provided me with along the way. Accidents, injuries, trauma, loss and many training and riding ups and downs, often left me burned out and questioning if I wanted to continue. I spent a lot of time with counselors and life coaches to find my strength and rediscover my passion in new ways, so much so, I wanted to help fellow equestrians and people from all aspects of life on their journeys. I now work with equestrians and horse owners from all walks of life that struggle with anxiety, fear and trauma. Over time I developed my own approach to address these difficulties and I absolutely love what I do. Anxiety is crippling and there is nothing worse than experiencing it around horses when you crave their connection as therapy and relief. Mental health is not recognized enough in the equestrian world and it's time to change that. Put yourself and your mental health first so you can be more successful at everything you do!
